Avnos is building the next generation of direct air capture technology. Its Hybrid DAC (HDAC™) system tackles two of the biggest challenges in decarbonization, water and energy consumption, by producing water directly from the atmosphere while reducing total energy consumption by more than 50%. Backed by more than $100 million from partners including Shell, Mitsubishi, NextEra Energy, ConocoPhillips, and the U.S. Departments of Energy and Defense, Avnos broke ground on a demonstration facility in New Jersey in 2025 and is building its flagship facility with commercial operations expected by the end of 2026.

"When examining companies focused on decarbonizing industry, sustainable aviation fuel stands out as a key area of interest. Avnos' technology is not only more environmentally friendly but also a cost-effective method for capturing carbon from the atmosphere, providing a sustainable feedstock for the future of aviation fuel.
